Sounds of the Ocean

Soothing ambient sounds of distant surf crashing on the shore. This CD, 74 minutes long, was created by shaping white noise (pink noise, in fact) to recreate the gentle crests and troughs of ocean surf. Read more about the CD on the page of frequently asked questions.

Follow this link to stream a 30-second stereo sample in MP3. Be sure to listen with good headphones or high-fidelity speakers. (This sample is at 22kHz, lacking the higher frequencies of the album, at 44kHz.)

I believe this is the best white or pink noise album available. Pay little attention to the marketing copy — let your ears be the judge!

Today marks the launch of this website, White Noise Sleep Aids! The CD, Sounds of the Ocean, was launched in October 2007. However, there was an issue with the upload from the aggregator, TuneCore, to the digital download stores, which we're still trying to work out. If you've purchased a copy, and find that it is not 73 minutes long with a 15-second fade-in and fade-out, please contact me about obtaining a correct copy.
